I’m La Torcha, a lifelong maker with a passion for turning simple materials into meaningful, beautiful pieces. For over two decades, I built a career in Human Resources, leading people, developing teams, and helping others feel supported, valued, and seen. I loved the work, but through all those years, I found myself returning again and again to the joy of crafting, the calm, the creativity, and the connection it brings.

My crafting journey truly reignited the day I picked up my tools to build an oversized dollhouse for my granddaughter’s 18‑inch dolls. I didn’t expect it to be anything more than a fun project, but the moment I started cutting, sanding, and painting, something inside me lit up. I rediscovered a part of myself I hadn’t felt in years, the joy of creating with my hands.

Not long after, when I bought my home, I had almost no furniture. Instead of rushing to fill the space, I decided to build what I needed myself. Consoles, end tables, shelves, piece by piece, I transformed my builder‑grade home into something warm, intentional, and uniquely mine. That passion grew into full home projects: accent walls, built‑in shelves, custom fireplaces, and detailed upgrades throughout my home. And just like with the dollhouse, people noticed. Family and friends began asking for custom pieces, décor, accent walls, home projects, and handmade gifts.

What began as necessity turned into visibility… and then into requests… and then into a passion I couldn’t ignore.

It’s inspired by my three grandchildren, their smiles, their curiosity, and the way their faces light up when they see something made just for them. They remind me that creativity is love you can hold in your hands.
